The Lyceum is a coeducational day school established in 1987 to provide quality higher secondary education for students wishing to pursue serious academic work. It has a strong reputation for academic excellence and social service, and is committed to providing a holistic education rooted in the best traditions of our culture, society and history.
The goal of The Lyceum is to enable its students to achieve their optimum potential both as scholars and as members of society, and to foster within them a strong sense of personal integrity and responsibility. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves academically and to extend their learning beyond the classroom in a positive and supportive environment. We have cultivated this shared culture with much care.
Our Vision
Our highly competitive academic environment challenges students to do their best as scholars, while providing co-curricular avenues for them to pursue and develop other talents, passions and interests.
The Lyceum embraces learning through the core principals of respect, integrity, compassion and accountability. We aim to provide each student with a diverse and holistic education in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment that motivates and promotes self-discipline and excellence in learning. The fostering of these values among Lyceum students results in graduates who assume leadership roles in many endeavors.
Our students are the civic leaders of the future, and therefore are being taught how to be socially sensitive critical thinkers. Overall their training enables them to move forward on the path to becoming responsible adults who make meaningful contributions to society in an increasingly interdependent global community.
We are a Round Square School
Round Square is a world-wide association of schools on five continents, sharing unique and ambitious goals that started in 1966. Students attending Round Square member schools make a strong commitment, beyond academic excellence, to personal development and responsibility.
As a Round Square school, the Lyceum commits to the six RS IDEALS of learning: Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service. They are incorporated into the curriculum throughout all Round Square member schools.
This also means that Lyceum students have the opportunity to interact with students from around the globe at conferences, service projects, adventure trips and debates to name a few.
