Winning at the 63rd Harvard Model United Nations 2016 (Maheen Naveed)
The Lyceum hit a milestone this year by winning Best Small Delegation at the 63rd Harvard Model United Nations held in Boston January 28. The HMUN is a four-day international relations simulation for high school students held annually. Up to 500 teams from around the world participated. This year, spirits were high and competition was intense. The Lyceum has been attending this conference and making its mark since 2010. In 2014, we walked away with the award for ‘the best international delegation’. The Lyceum Debate Team was awarded two Best Delegate awards, two Outstanding Delegate awards, and two Honourable Mentions. The two Best Delegate Awards were won by Bakhtawar Atta and Aleena Aamir, the two Outstanding Delegate awards were earned by Obaid ur Rehman and Amsel Bilal and the two Honourable Mentions were awarded to myself and Zulqarnain Amir, with Wasay Peracha and Janian Shah putting forward an excellent performance as well.
